Heritage Boats Of Evesham

Narrowboats and Widebeams, custom built to your specification. Quality from start to finish.

Paris - semi trad stern narrowboat

The semi trad stern is a clever compromise between the traditional stern of an old working boat and a cruiser stern originally designed for the holiday hire market. From the canalside it looks like a traditional stern boat but ahead of the helmsman are hidden bench seats either side, so there’s room for socialising.

The design of our boats enables us to offer an amazing choice of options which allow you to personalise your boat just how you want it. Our designers will happily give you all the help you need to make the most of our bespoke level of service in order to achieve the design which fits in perfectly with your lifestyle.

Features

Saloon

The large saloon is designed for freestanding furniture giving the ideal living and social area. Hand crafted units and under gunwale display cabinets containing 230V power sockets, aerial and satellite points enabling easy fitting of most audio/TV systems. The saloon can also easily accommodate a dinette which can be converted for an additional two berths.

Galley

A galley that will certainly impress your friends and family... Whether it is situated aft or amidships, combined with the saloon it really does compliment the feeling of space. The galley has a hand crafted overhead cupboard suitable for a microwave, full size cooker and 230V fridge/freezer. You could even have solid granite worktops and ingenious magic corner units for easy access.

Bathroom

Intelligent design makes use of this space. It is equipped with a modern full size quadrant shower cubicle with mixer unit, pump out (or cassette) toilet and a contemporary washbasin giving you all the luxury of home.

Bedroom

Designed for a peaceful environment, the bedroom has an abundance of storage. With its 2 full height wardrobes, overhead cupboard with reading lights and the all important finishing touches, you will struggle not to be impressed.

Prices

In contrast to many boat builders we don’t ask for a massive deposit up front to fund the building process.  We have a very simple 5 step process, in order to make buying as easy and as simple as possible.

Step 1.  We need a little commitment from you of just £1000, which allows us the time to fully design the boat, agree the specification and produce the detailed CAD drawing.
Step 2.  Once step 1 has been completed, a 10% deposit is necessary to commence the manufacture of your boat.
Step 3.  Once the hull has been completed and the boat has received its finish paintwork we require a further 40%.
Step 4.  After the boat has completed its fit-out and passed quality control, it is delivered to Evesham where you will be able to fully inspect it, after which a further 40% would be required.
Step 5.  Finally, the remaining 10% would be payable only when we have commissioned the boat, completed your handover and river trial and you are completely satisfied.

It means that, apart from the initial deposit, you only ever pay for work that has actually been completed. Together with a British Marine Federation based contract it would be hard to find better peace of mind.

Our boats are designed and constructed to the Recreational Craft Directive.
